Websites built in code

Websites built in code: a sustainable alternative to WordPress

I built many WordPress sites and I know their weak points from the inside: plugins that break, licenses that renew and an endless stream of security patches. Today I build websites directly in code with Next.js and React, and I migrate the ones you already have without losing your Google rankings.

Problems I solve

  • Every plugin update is a risk: one change and the site breaks or looks different.

  • Premium plugin licenses renew every year and the spend adds up without you noticing.

  • A plugin-heavy site is an easy target: more attack surface and constant security patches.

  • The site loads slowly, and it shows in Google and in the people who leave before seeing your offer.

02

What I build

  • Corporate sites and landing pages

Fast pages with a custom design, without depending on a theme or a page builder.

  • Built-in technical SEO

Metadata, structured data (JSON-LD), sitemap and per-language versions with hreflang from day one.

  • Migration from WordPress

Audit of the current site, URL map, 301 redirects and content migration to preserve your rankings.

  • Simple admin panel

A custom panel to edit texts, products or posts without touching code, using the same logic as my management platforms.

  • Integration with automation and platforms

The site connects natively to your CRM, WhatsApp, AI agents and management platforms.

  • Code you own, versioned in Git

The repository belongs to the client, with change history and deployment on Vercel or on a VPS with Docker.

How I work

  1. 1

    Audit of the current site

We review what you have: pages, plugins, the traffic you already get and what is worth improving.

  2. 2

    Plan and URL map

We define the new structure and which old URL points to which new one, so rankings are not lost.

  3. 3

    Build

Development in Next.js with your content migrated, the editing panel and technical SEO, with progress you can review.

  4. 4

    Launch with redirects and handover

We go live with the 301 redirects active, check Search Console, and I hand over the code and a guide to editing your content.

Frequently asked questions

Will I be able to edit my content like in WordPress?

A site built in code does not ship with a visual editor, and that is a real difference. The answer is a simple custom admin panel to edit texts, products or posts without touching code. It is the same idea as the management platforms I build.

Will I lose my Google ranking?

The goal is not to lose it: I keep URLs wherever possible, set up 301 redirects for the ones that change, and migrate the content. Nobody can guarantee exact positions, but that preparation lowers the risk a lot.

What about hosting and maintenance?

They still exist: a site needs a domain, hosting and some maintenance. The difference is that there are no premium plugin licenses to renew, no plugin updates that break the site, and far fewer security patches.

Can you migrate my WooCommerce store?

It is evaluated case by case. It depends on the catalog, the payments and the integrations the store uses. Tell me how it works today and I will tell you honestly whether migrating makes sense or whether to leave it as is.

Do you work remotely, and in which language?

I work remotely from Cali, Colombia. Native Spanish and English (B2); documentation and tickets in either language.

Other capabilities

Is your WordPress site more work than results?

Tell me which site you have today and what bothers you about it. I will tell you honestly whether migrating makes sense. Native Spanish; English (B2).
